About our
Parents Association (PTA)
Parent And Carer Champions - PACC
At Kickstart we hold informal discussions with parents/carers every half term. These run from 3.00pm – 4.00pm and refreshments are provided.
We value the importance of the parent/carer voice, in bringing about positive change for our academy community. We invite parents to come into our academy and discuss issues of concern so that they can be addressed swiftly.
Our support groups boost the ability of parents/carers to support their children, which raises achievement. They can help to resolve issues before they escalate too far. These sessions are also a positive way of helping parents/carers to recognise that the needs of their children are considered.
The discussions are also a nice opportunity to speak with other parents/carers who may have similar experiences to yourself around parenting a child with additional needs.
We understand that some issues require a more sensitive approach. Therefore, parents/carers can also request a private discussion about their individual child.
In attendance will be:
- Mrs Rennie-Gibbons – Headteacher
- Mrs Webster – Deputy Headteacher / SENDCO
- Mr Ford – Behaviour Lead and DSL
- Miss Gilsenan – Family Liaison Officer
- Miss Rogers – Clerk
- Mrs Cooper – Parent Engagement Lead
