The Learning Community Trust is undertaking a major programme of IT systems upgrades and improvements between 30 July and 7 August. These essential works will help improve the security, reliability and resilience of Trust systems and communications services.
During this time, there will be no web forms active on any of our website, and our phone systems may be unavailable.
Curriculum intent, implementation, and impact
Thrive is a planned and sequenced part of Kickstart’s curriculum that supports emotional development, positive relationships and readiness to learn. It helps students understand their needs, develop regulation strategies and apply these skills across school and everyday life.
Thrive is a planned curriculum and targeted intervention. It is not a standalone qualification or a replacement for specialist clinical support.
Opportunities include practical wellbeing activities, teamwork, reflection, community experiences and links to Personal Development and preparation for adulthood.
Careers learning in this subject contributes to Kickstart’s wider careers programme and the Gatsby Benchmarks. Through our work with Future Focus, students receive individual support to explore suitable pathways, make applications and prepare for a positive post-16 transition. Emotional regulation, communication, resilience and relationship skills support every post-16 pathway and help students participate successfully in education, training and employment.
